10 Concepts

This is my favorite one of the 10 concepts. It’s a small night light with a transparent cover on the outside, and to make it look attractive, I also drew a little smiley face on it. Below is the base of the lamp, printed with "Have a good night."

This is a speaker that can play CDs even using Bluetooth. There are two buttons on both sides of the speaker, which can be rotated to control the volume. Below is a place to put CDs.

This is a chair I created based on a model. In life, sometimes, when eating in a restaurant, there is nowhere to put canvas bags or backpacks, and the hooks on both sides of the chair can help.

I think this design is the most interesting. Sometimes I eat snacks while watching a movie, such as French fries, popcorn nachos, etc. The process of extruding the sauce from the packaging bag is straightforward to get my hands dirty, so I designed the model as there are popcorn buckets that can be pumped out of the dip onto the tray.

This is the first idea that comes to my mind, a potted plant placed at the door inside my house. This is a pot that can be used to plant flowers and hanging keys.

This is a drip coffee cup with a vacuum cup mat. The handles on both sides of the cup can be used to put the coffee on the hanging ear to avoid falling off.

This is a sink that can recycle wastewater. At the bottom is a sink that collects used water. The collected water is stored in the medium tank and purified. Finally, the water will flow from the taps on both sides of the tank.

This is a jewelry box made of black transparent acrylic material. There are four drawers in the middle and bottom for storing jewelry. The hooks on both sides can put some frequently used necklaces. It is not easy to hang the chains together.

This aromatherapy can pass the lighter through itself and has a heating pad. When lighting the aromatherapy, you can take out the igniter and light it. When you don't want to ignite, turn on the heating pad, and volatilize the aroma by heating the aromatherapy.
It's a soda bucket that offers two different flavors, perfect for picnics and small family parties.

Process

At first, I started building a model in Rhino with two or three geometers based on a 3D geometry such as a cylinder and then superimposed other geometers.
Repeat this process many times until I model the best one I like.

And this is my favorite model.
Unwrap the model into a 2D surface and save it as a PDF.

Print out the 2D surface.
Cut the shape down and collage them according to the numbered instructions.

Final physical model

Final reflection
Through this project, I learned how to unwrap a model with Rhino and made a solid model after my first attempt at modeling. This was a fascinating attempt for me.
When designing the model of the combination of the three geometric models, I did not think about what the model should be designed in the end but based on my feeling. This makes it difficult to believe about 10 concepts later, probably because my thinking is not so active. I hope I can open my mind and think about problems next time.
