In individual basketball practice, he would often feel bored and sometimes the ball would bounce far away if it didn't take a shot, so he had to chase the far-away ball to pick it up. He thought it was a hassle to pick up the ball every time. And in the process of picking up the ball is easy for him to want to give up. He wants to have more fun with each individual training, which will make him more motivational.
Observation/ Photo journal
Due to the impact of the Covid-19, I cannot go to places with many people to conduct in-depth observations. After previous surveys and conversations with people familiar with basketball, I decided to take a closer look by watching basketball training videos on the Internet and playing basketball with my cousin on the weekends. It is not a simple observation or a deep feeling in this customer group! It's better to engage with them and understand their urgency to solve a problem than to see with their eyes. There is no better way to see than action!
I first observed him on the basketball court and recorded the details of the observations.
These videos record the process of my shooting, because of my poor game, I ran after the ball all over the court, and I was exhausted after a while. Three different pitching positions were shot for better comparison and comparison.

I found that the ball bounced far away in most cases during self-practice. Most of these people like to practice their shooting skills. Due to the lack of shooting accuracy, the ball will hit the rack of the basket hard and cause the ball it bounces far away due to the interaction force.
The relationship between the field: Because the field is larger, the distance the ball rolls is also far.
The Five Whys
– problem analysis –
1. Why do you need to pick up a lot of the ball in your personal shooting practice?
2. Why don't you want to pick up the ball when you practice shooting?
3. Why do you think picking up the ball will reduce training efficiency?
4. Why does shooting need spot shooting drills?
5. Why do you sometimes wipe your hands with clothes when you are already shooting?
1. Picking up the ball mostly occurs when you practice side shooting because when the shooting is standing on the side of the basket, the ball cannot be put in by the hitting backboard. It has to go straight in.
2. Because this will greatly reduce the efficiency of training, the original shooting requires a lot of energy, which makes picking up the ball even more tiring.
3. Because shooting requires a lot of spot shooting drills, picking up the ball will change the shooting position.
4. Because spot shooting drills for practicing shooting help to create muscle memory, more practice can produce a "ball-hanging".
5. Because the palms of the hands are sweating, the sweat affects the friction between the hands and the ball. The purpose of wiping my hands with clothes is to wipe off the sweat from my hands so that I can better grasp the ball.

1. Because people who practice ball often fail to shoot the ball, they are anxious. At this time, hand sweat will also increase. Sweat is a liquid, which reduces the friction between the hand and the ball. At this time, the shot will be more likely to miss. If you touch the soles with your hands, you can make your soles a little sweaty, and you can wipe off the slight dust on the soles, so the chance of slipping will be reduced.
2. Playing basketball has consumed too much energy. At the beginning of training, they are not very resistant to picking up the ball. After training for a while, they have consumed too much energy. Most of them have a bad mood about running a long way to pick up the ball.
3. Some students have a lot of concerns when training basketball. They are always afraid that injuries during training will affect their daily life and study. Or they are worried that they can't shoot a goal and can't show it in front of the girls they like, which makes them unable to relax and enjoy basketball.
4. The lack of shots and the need to pick up the ball hurts their confidence and makes them less motivated to continue playing basketball, so in this case, they will choose to go off the court to drink water or stop training.
5. The situation where the ball is bounced into the distance mainly occurs in individual practice rather than in a basketball team because the individual approach is mostly shooting practice and only one person is practicing. In group basketball, if the ball bounces, even if you can't stop, When the ball is reached, other teammates will help to stop the ball from bouncing far away, which significantly reduces the number of picking up the ball.
1. Most boys choose basketball as their primary sport.
2. From my observations, a large majority of people choose to play basketball because they think it is possible to grow taller in the process of shooting.
3. Some people will privately conduct personal basketball training in order to improve their basketball skills.
4. Most of the personal basketball training is about dribbling and shooting.
5. Missing shot is more likely to be bounced far than a goal.
6. People often choose to rest when no goals are scored.
7. Most people are reluctant to pick up a ball that bounces far away.
8. With a streak of missed shots and the ball bouncing into the distance, their subsequent field goal percentage drops significantly.
9. The basketball bounces farther on the basketball hoop or basketball rim than on the floor when shooting.
10. The most missing shot is either air balls or bricks
11. When shooting on the left and right sides of the basketball hoop, the shot is more difficult and the ball is more likely to bounce to the opposite side.
12. Students are always overcautious when they play basketball.
13. When playing basketball, they often touch the soles or clothes with their hands.
