Reverse Engineering
This project is reverse engineering which needs to choose an everyday thing, so I chose an electric fan that I use a lot. In this project, I will show the 3D model, rendering, and specification drawing of the fan. During the last production process, I often thought about what to do, which made my production efficiency very low, so this time I sorted out my ideas before modeling, which significantly improved my efficiency. The rendering of the background environment is my new attempt for this project, and it's a bit unfamiliar, but I find it interesting.
At first, I disassembled the fan, which was helpful for me to measure the accurate size and think about how to model it. I found that this fan consists of four parts, front cover, fan blades, motor, and rear cover. I measured exact data for each piece, and the more accurate data, the better for my later modeling.
Process
Based on the measured data, I modeled the fan in four parts and assembled the four parts at the end. This video records the assembly process.

Some impressions about this project...
During this project, I realized the role of planning ahead, which made me more efficient. The most important thing is to provide a new way of looking at the problem. The design of items that can be seen everywhere in life is obtained after repeated reflections by many people. Because of this project, I carefully observed the fan used for six years for the first time, measured it, and modeled it. When I saw the fan model on the computer, I couldn't believe it. The electric fan that used to be by my side can present it on the computer today. I feel like I have improved a little through this project. At the same time, there are some problems: 1. I am still not familiar with how to render and need more practice. 2. There are some deviations in the measurement data. 3. I am not familiar with the location of some applications, so it takes a long time to find them. These are all things I need to improve, and I hope the next project will have a better performance. In the past, I always wanted to make something that looked cool, but now I'm starting to get interested in the things I have by my side, and I've really enjoyed the process.
