The process of designing "Lilgo"
In the beginning, I used divergent thinking to draw something I liked. According to what I am most interested in, I will proceed to the next painting.
According to the first sketch, I chose my favorite lemon and puppy for styling design to enrich the image.
Based on the lemon, I drew a series of designs as Fruit Man, and finally, I chose the lemon floating on the sea.
Option 2 is a puppy; this is my final choice because this puppy is designed based on myself. I love the sea and surfing; the earrings are also what I usually wear. I think this is the most thing which can represent me.
According to the final sketch, I use AI to draw a vector diagram which is used as laser cutting.

Through this project, I know how to start making a logo, and I clearly understand what kind of process it should be. The biggest gain is that I can use divergent and iteration thinking to think and design, which will affect the way I create and think in the future, giving me different ideas. And also I have a preliminary understanding of the use of Ai software.
The Meaning of “Lilgo”
The name of the logo is “Lilgo,” a cartoon image I designed based on myself. The name is because the Chinese pronunciation of chestnuts, "莉" is the same as my Chinese name, and my English name is "Lily" minus the Y to become Lil. The pronunciation of Go is the same as the Chinese pronunciation of puppy. At the same time, Lil also means small, and together it means small dog. The most important thing about the name is to motivate me, like "Lily, go!" Go ahead!
